About the Author Denica McCall lives in Western Washington where she grew up with her parents and one brother. She is passionate about the love of Jesus, storytelling, poetry, dancing, children, and traveling. In 2011, she graduated from the two-year program in the School of Prophetic Arts in Kirkland, Washington, having studied creative writing, drama, and dance. Denica believes that words have the power to bring hope to the oppressed, lead people into encounters with their Creator, and bring healing. She is currently working as a nanny and writes novels when she is not writing poetry.

These poems are beautifully crafted, each line naturally flowing into the next. Denica McCall has a message for every wounded heart, for she somehow manifests on the page what we so often think but rarely admit. Such a thing can only be accomplished through raw honesty and fearless vulnerability: McCall gives us both.This world is insanity. But while some turn to essential oils and yoga classes (both excellent options) to combat chaos, I chose to pick up this captivating anthology and allow Denica McCall to help me find my Flowers in the Darkness--I was not disappointed.

Beautiful, Important, and Powerful By Anthony Bankes A beautiful book supporting such an important cause with part of the proceeds going to the Genesis Project to help fight against sex trafficking. Denica's poetry is smooth and fluent, and I loved how the book was divided up into different sections with different themes, such as social justice, relationship with God, and overcoming struggles. The poems range in length, tone, and subject matter, but Denica's love for God and people shines through each of them. I will often times read these poems after a long day, and they always help me remember who I am in Christ. Highly recommended!

My mouth almost waters just thinking about them. I never knew the food in the Philippines tasted so great. I have always wanted to travel there and now with this book I really can! Each recipe is broken down into easy to follow steps that anyone can follow along with. Also, the ingredients aren't very hard to find. My favorite part is that there are pictures of the different food that helps you know that you followed it correctly!

I've never seen a Filipino recipe with mayonnaise or evaporated milk. Again, shortcuts that American cooks should appreciate. The measurements were all in American. Pictures! Inside of this book the author has described about some delicious and health Filipino cuisine recipes, Filipino foods and meals. Actually, I am a food lover and I always like to read cookbooks. A few days ago my neighbor suggested me about his book and to learn some new Filipino recipes I purchased this book. This cookbook really fulfilled my expectation. All recipes are described with step by step instruction and they are easy to understand. I really liked this cookbook. If you have any interest to learn Southeast Asian meal recipes then I will suggest this book.

Bill is the coauthor of several other travel guides, including Moon Utah, Moon Zion & Bryce, Moon Oregon, and Moon Coastal Oregon, all with Judy Jewell. He has also written for Frommer's, Lonely Planet, and Mobil Guides; written and edited for the 1,000 Places to See Before You Die series; edited books for National Geographic; and provided content for websites including GORP.com and Expedia.com. In his day job, Bill writes high-tech marketing materials. Bill makes his home in Portland, Oregon. Judy Jewell was recently told that one of the benefits of a liberal arts education is being able to talk one's way into any job, no matter how unlikely, and once there, figure out how to do it. This rang true to her, and she admits that that's how she started her travel writing career, writing the first edition of Moon Montana with Bill McRae. After wrapping up the ninth edition, she realized that even though she'd largely figured out the job, she still felt a burst of energy whenever she passed the "Milepost 0 - No Services" sign on her I-90 route into Montana. Travel writing is one leg of Judy's three-legged stool of self-employment. She also works as a scientific and technical editor and a yoga teacher. Judy lives in Portland, Oregon.

By MS Moon handbooks have always provided the most relevant information for travel and this book is no exception. While there is no list of all lodging or all restaurants, etc. it definitely provides the must do's. I have purchased for every state we travel to and never been disappointed.
