From good to bad By Willread This book charmed me so much the first couple of chapters - I loved the humor - that I failed to notice how much I disliked the main characters and the storyline.Unfortunately, one third into the book even the best of jokes couldn't save it. The hero was extremely bossy and rude, pussig the heroine away and then being insulted when she actually walks. The heroine was a doormat who kept excusing herself to the hero even if she hadn't done anything wrong. And the villains were just plain ridiculous.The ending was cringe worthy - the heroine risked the life of her best friend's child (and in the real world he would have been dead) but that was all forgotten because of loooove.A shame, really, because this author had a great sense of humor and I could really picture her writing a book I would love.

An intense, sweet love story By Mama Vicky So I picked this book up after being in a book slump and it brought me right out (Thanks Three Girls and a Book Obsession for the introduction). Now what caught my attention was the blurb. Hello! Kiss Cam gone wrong and a hot guy to save the day PLUS he wants more? Hell yes! So I read the sample, 1-clicked, and immediately started reading.What I LOVED most about this book was that it was a sweet love story. It wasn't heavy on the sexy times (although there were some very well written kissing scenes), nor was it particularly descriptive/hardcore about said sexy times. Now I read books like that and LOVE them, but sometimes, you just want a break from it all. You just want the story and the feelings and the sweetness, and this book definitely delivered on all points. There was also suspense, and even though the author revealed the villain early on, it still worked out for the story. I do hope said bastard rots in hell. Seriously. Anyways, moving on.Gemma *sigh*. There were moments where I was not her greatest fan and this was because of her immaturity/bitchiness during said moments. Nevertheless, those moments aside, she was hilarious, feisty, had no filter, jumped to conclusions WAYYY too easily, brave, caring, loyal, quirky, impulsive, and I could go on and on.Now Chase, on the other hand, golly! Man! He definitely qualifies as book boyfriend material. He was kind, handsome, loyal, witty, funny, wealthy, patient, long suffering, dedicated, etc. He wasn't completely perfect, as that's just crazy. He was brooding and didn't quite like to show (or share) his emotions, but when he did, *swoon* #ovariesexplodingalertGemma and Chase together!? Wow! Talk about intense, electrifying chemistry. And their banter, when Gemma wasn't driving me crazy, was witty and hilarious. You could totally just listen to them all day.Now, if you know me, you know I'm a sucker for stories with lessons/messages and there were several in this story, but I'm going to focus on just one: No matter your background - where you were born, who raised you, how you were raised, yada yada yada - YOU are ultimately responsible for your actions, good or bad.When all is said and done, Gemma and Chase did well for themselves. They played the hand life dealt them and came out on top and found themselves a love guaranteed to weather the storms of life.I'm definitely glad I took a chance on them. To Gemma and Chase!
