If you thought you've read everything, heard of every plot, discovered every world, then read this. I guarantee you will not regret it.Plot: I was surprised by the cleverly designed plot twists in this novel. I love it when I am surprised and can't guess what will happen next which is something that is hard to find when you've read so much in a particular genre.Characters: I had some doubts at first about the character development in this novel but was pleasantly surprised. Noah, Leah, Mary, and Troy battle demons both internal and external that changes the characters and brings closure. Everyone has personal demons, but it is rare that we get the opportunity to face up to them. In this book, these characters have no choice but to fight and I cheered each and every one on as they triumphed despite all odds. You feel proud of these characters by the end which is hard to achieve.World: Holy cow. It is rare to find such a unique world as the one Will J.J. created but the world of the Oneiros is certainly one of a kind. If you like monsters, swords, lasers, martial arts, flying, or anything else you can think of, it is in here. However, what I loved most about this book though was the fact that it made me continue to think about this world long after I put the book down.Romance: There is a thread of it here but it is not a main feature of this novel. I appreciated the strong friendships created in this novel. There shouldn't be an issue with young readers reading Darkness Reflected.

It is well developed in all the right areas, and I never find myself pulled out by something that doesn't belong. The author's imagination makes for a wonder and engaging story, a great read for fantasy enthusiasts.
