FREEMAN This is a good little collection of work from a mind that is politically engaged, with imagination and a sense of humour. Sharp social observation, often from a left-wing perspective, sometimes in Scottish dialect, this is a mixed bag of glimpses into a variety of lives lived in the so-called 'United Kingdom' today.
